David Bennett Galloway III eagerly anticipated his first year at the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) in 2023. He has already set a precedent with his performance in high school sports at Chapin High School in South Carolina. At Chapin, he stood out in football and track, garnering accolades for his athletic prowess and high academic standards, a testament to his dedication and discipline.

Starting his college journey in 2022, he strategically utilized the NCAA Redshirt year at ULM to extend his eligibility, allowing him four full seasons to showcase his athletic skills in college football. His college life is a rigorous blend of demanding academic commitments and intensive football training, poised to make him a formidable student-athlete.

After a family vacation to Cabo San Lucas, he returned to ULM on January 11, ready to tackle the spring semester. His days are filled with challenging coursework and robust football training sessions that began with preseason practices in March 2023. These sessions are crucial for preparing him for the competitive atmosphere of the upcoming fall season.

The similarities between the two places facilitated his transition from Chapin to Monroe, making it easier for him to adapt to his new life in northeast Louisiana. He quickly acclimated to the local culture and climate, embracing Monroe's warm, humid weather and southern lifestyle.

Beyond academics and football, he explores northeast Louisiana, enjoying the natural beauty and recreational activities. He appreciates the rich culinary scene in Monroe and West Monroe and benefits from the ease of travel provided by Monroe's airport for trips back home to Chapin.

David Bennett is also committed to giving back to his community. He actively participates in service projects that benefit local senior centers and special needs sports programs. These activities deepen his connection to the community and enrich his personal growth and development.
